Just been looking on the official f1 site for a bit of pre season gossip, has anyone seen what the main teams have done to their front ends. Ugly is not the word. It reminds me of the front end of an old banshee quad bike. Just when f1 cars were starting to look pretty again:(

I think the new front ends look like a Duck billed Plaitipus or the Fiat Multipla  :D

F1 cars stopped being pretty about 40 years ago and as the years go by it's become an expensive follow my leader thing rather than racing. The Locost race series is far better to watch:D

The McLaren still looks pretty. Thank god they decided not to follow the ugly stepped nose look.
BBC coverage this year doesn't seem too bad considering...

Not to many secrets in engine, gearbox or suspensions these days but aero is a black art. You only have to look at red bull vs renault to see what a difference it makes when using the same power unit. And renault are no fools. There are roadsters and locosts running about with as many hp/ton as a veyron but they dont hit 240mph, aero rules.

True, every year there's a new aero trick which sets the pace, double diffusers, blown diffusers, what next? I'm sure Red Bull will show us in a few weeks, that little vent must be for more than just driver comfort.
