A Cosworth T5 gearbox will need a special bellhousing to get it to a Duratec engine. These can be picked up from the US (Quad4Rods) for around £400 (inc shipping and tax). Although RWD motorsport make one for £200 to go from a Duratec to Type 9 or T5 to Zetec? You'd have to ring them to see if they make a hybrid one. Hope this helps.

The T5 box has the best ratios you could hope for on a standard Ford box, the Duratec is a fantastic engine and can make 240 bhp with a set of cams and throttle bodies, I would definatelly build my car around this combination of parts, you won't regret it.

Wazac......... if you need the tranny tunnel steel (where the bellhousing end is ) supplied over long to allow you to accomodate your choice of gearbox then just let me know, as that way you,ll be able to fabricate the tunnel/bellhousing area to suit ;) .......just keep in mind the pedal box dimensions , happy to "work with you" to create what you need on the chassis front :)
cheers
