This is not on a par with what some of our fellow members have been through.
But the cold has finally finished off some of my pond fish.
My Ghost Koi which I have had for about 8-9 years and grown from ~1" to 14-15" has perished, along with another large goldfish, a medium Orf and 2 of last summers Fry.
I think in part it may have been down to the water being too clean after an accidental drain down a few weeks back, the fresh water ( boy that was a pain had to thaw the hose pipe out! ) took 2 hrs to refill.
It's not been a good year at all for the pond after the wife killed a few of them back in the summer.
There's also a Frog/Toad sitting on the bottom that I assume is dead, looks quite strange down there!
Lastly, the wood supporting the pond frame is rotten. So a rebuild of the entire pond is required asap.. And that means decanting the Guys into temporary storage. 2 IBC's are comming.
So That's another project to add to this years works..
TT
