Well it feels like the engine swap has taken an age but today i finally got it fired up.

the engine is a saab b204 turbo running a t25 turbo with vw golf turbo ignition coils all controlled by the latest and greatest megasquirt 3 coupled with the additional ms3x card for fully sequential ignition and injection, all channelled through a vauxhall omega gearbox.

here is the vid :D

Well done Ash,

It must have been really cold in your workshop when you filmed that as you could see your breath consensing in the air! What an achivement, looks like we both had a great day yesterday!:)

I guess our engines are now suitable rating for an interesting race, but sure yours is better on paper.

Nice one Ash, look forward to a ride out in that! Are you tuning the megasquirt yourself, Or will AT do it?

My mate that is also building is still interested in your old running gear BTW, let me know if you want rid of it.

Well done!

Cheers

Adrian

its only 2.5 inch but its still huge. that is the biggest you can bolt up to a t25. to go 3 inch a bigger turbo would be in order. its up from the saabs 2.25 inch system so should help and being so short there is not much restriction.

i thought the turbo and stupidly huge exhaust can would make it quieter than the old 1600 pinto but i can safely say its loud infact scary sounding loud. even my other half commented that it sounds a lot more powerful than the old one :D the you tube vid really doesn't get across the evil turbo burble.
