Hi all,

as the title suggests - i've just had my second year advisory for my exhaust. 2000 (X) reg A6. So thought I'd look for a replacement (not sure which part) but got a price for all.

Unfortunately GSF don't do one, so had to enquire at the stealer (literally). Cut a long story abit shorter they want from the Cat back about £1100:eek:
Plus another £500 if i have the cat as well.

The question is are Longlife exhausts any good, the price seems to be - quoted £299 from cat back, life-time warranty (stainless)etc? The price seems to good, being a Quattro with the twin exits. Apparently the cat is on the manifold so quite abit of exhaust to be had.

Anybody had any experience?

Cheers in advance

I've had longlife stainless systems on several of my cars.. alfa, escorts and st24 mondeo.. and never had any bother with them. The beauty i found was that if they are specially made up u can specify what sound, loudness and tailpipe u want :)

Depends what they call long life, but £299 is a good price and the only problem with stainless systems are the clamps are usually steel and will eventually rot.

See if you have TPS near you as they supply genuine parts at a discount price.
