tax rebate scam email!

just to give you a heads up had a real convinceing looking email today looked like a real email from hmrc saying i had a tax rebate
all the links point to real hrmc webpages apart from the click here go's to a co.za :)
i check all my emails for possible scams
hrmc will send you no emails so it is phishing site

Any emails like this go straight in the delete folder if they want to rebate you they send it either in your paypacket or contact you via the post.

Got it weeks ago.. Also straight in the trash.

Hopefully nobody fall for this sort of crap.

had one of these yesterday and nearly believed for a second.

Sick of getting e-mails from scammers pretending to be banks saying i've had several login attempts to me bank account and i need to click the link to reset my data - DONT EVEN HAVE ACCOUNTS WITH THESE BANKS.

Tried to reply to these e-mails telling the not not politely go away but they just get returned.

Should be prosecuted.....Andrew

Yep the tinternet is rife with all this malarkey :(

Had 4 from banks this weekend, don't do business with any of them :rolleyes:

On the whole, my emails spam filter does a darn fine job of sending unwanted mail straight to the spam folder :)
