This is a long shot this one but......

Can anyone identify the two flywheels in the pictures below? I copied them from the Alphax web page but i am led to believe from another post that he isnt playing anymore.

1124

1125

Most likely to be from the ford of vw audi stable.

I am trying to figure what would be best to use or what i need to use for the marriage of my mt75 and my 20v 1.8t.

Any thoughts on this one would be very welcome. I have been trawling the net for hours but have had no luck yet.

Bottom pic is Audi/VW/VAG,top one is drilled for other clutch such as Ford.

Let me know when you can pop over and I will bring the adapter for you to look at.

Thanks Flyer!

So do you think that has come off an older Golf or something - the 1.8t is a dual mass job.

I am trying to get my head around what flywheel to use on this 1.8t motor when it is coupled up to an MT75 box.

The way it seems to me, unless I use something the same size as the flywheel from a ford 4pot mt75 i am going to have problems with the starter motor position in relation to the flywheel.

So if i am lucky there is a vw flywheel that is the same size - but which one?

And if i am unlucky i need a bigger vw one that can be turned down on the lathe - any suggestions for a bigger vw flywheel?

Kits are available to replace dual mass flywheels with solid normal ones so the pictures may not give the right info.

As I spoke about, it may pay to get all the bits together and see what can be done and there is an MT 75 for sale on the forum if you dont have one to hand.
