As some one who lives in a small village ....WTF is a police man? If you dial 999 out here they give you an estamated date of arrival.

I'm with you on that one.....
We got 1 policeman to cover 5 villages.
As yet I've never seen the police in our village.
Too busy sitting up on the motorway:mad:

I got a phone call from the Mrs last week ( I was 7 miles away working on my car) saying there was 2 policemen in our back garden ( plus 1 huge German shepherd, which was fun  we have our 8 dogs in the back garden), plus a Policewoman in the front garden AND a Police helicopter hovering above .....
Turns out there was some undesireable hiding in the bushes behind our garden ( we back onto open fields behind us ).... Thought I,d forgotten to SORN my van :D :D
cheers

Can't remember the last time I saw a policeman in our village .... Hang on, yes I can .... He was looking for me :D
being serious, never see them in these parts.
Well that's if you don't count the law abiding officer that flies through our village, giving it welly & his blues n Twos going.
Exactly the same time every day ( About the time of day that his shift woud be due to finish )
By strange coincidence, his time of day moves about in blocks of 4/5 days .... Quite consistent with a PC's changing shift patterns.
One thing for sure, he's going to nail someone on our narrow, twisty roads one day ??
I find it hard to believe that this officer is called to an emergency at exactly the same time, every day !!?? ( I think not )
Same officer, I can see him clearly from my drive .... Just noticed, what sort of nosey old git have I turned into :o
Guess the thing that irks me is, in the event of a serious accident involving this officer .... The official line will be that he was answering an emergency call !!??
