As "I'm building" BEC (Bike Engined Car) Roadster I think it'll be helpful for other to know... how many BEC Roadsters is on the forum and who is building BEC?
In "register" there is only one BEC - R1 powered by 7ishNZ, but I know there's more e.g.: CaptainCrash1971, wylliezx9r, chriseyj, Chunky2772.
So BEC builders - come out of hiding ;)
It'll be easier to solve BEC problems together... (like prop adapters, electric reverse, sump buffles, etc)

It is a lovely build Lucas, i have some build pics of i but nothing of it all complete. He hasn't put his direct email on his profile so i would rather not pass it on but i'm sure he will pay a visit and be in touch - once he's finished thrashing about in his rocket car....:D

Nice blog! not disimilar! ha ha
I have all the intentions of an R1 build, but finances have changed and I gotta be realistic. So I am keeping the Sierra engine just incase

As mentioned, I'm building an R1 powered car. Well I was until today!!!! Just discovered a problem with my engine. One of the mounting lugs on the engine is broken!!!
I've contacted seller, and he has offered me 200 quid compensation, so it may still be ok if I can find someone to repair the block.
The other option is to sell the engine to someone who can repair it and then use the funds plus the £200 to fund another engine. Not sure what to do. However, whatever the outcome, I've already committed to selling my pinto engine, so will almost certainly be continuing down the BEC route.
A further option is to sell the engine I have in parts, make as much money as possible, and then buy a ZX10R engine (£1350), probably have to sell a kidney to get there.
Once I get my chassis straight I'll need to sort an engine ASAP to get on with the build. Otherwise I'll still be here in a years time with no progress. :(

I would use yorkshire engines as he will only sell low mileage units which are in tip top condition.
