Well done that man I'm sure that would have looked very convincing. I've been caught out before with some thing simular mostly banks claiming that my Natwest account needs some thing doing to it, funny that as I'm with Santander.

Typical scam message Jake

Most buisnesses will never send you a message starting with " Dear member "

Any authentic messages from ebay admin will always appear in your ebay message folder ;)

Same thing goes for Paypal.

Get these on an almost daily basis, thankfully my spam filter usualy pick them up.

Yes Phil

I get messages from all sorts of banks that I have never dealt with.

Not had any large overseas lottery wins for a while .... If I don't win big soon, I am going to stop not playing them :D :D

Tis surprising the amount of spam generated from using ebay & the likes.

I quite often look at the full headders of some spam messages just to find that they bulk messages via ebay customers email address books

Not going to grumble though, I have sold a hell of a lot via ebay, things that would not sell in a million years in the local rag.

The fees are creeping ever higher but then no worse than the cost of adertising in a local rag & all the hasle of haggling ;)

Selling my classic car parts on ebay have to date financed almost my entire build :)

I guess as long as you stay alert to possible spam & security breaches no harm will come from such messages.

indeed, this week is the first time iv used ebay to sell anything, bought a couple of things but never sold. got to the point where iv used my monthly allowance, now (didnt even know there was one) so have had to confirm bank details... means i miss out on free listings but o-well

i am the same but my build has been financed by scrap copper wire :) would be quite a bit further on of road car didnt keep breaking all the damn time! cost me near as damn it £200 in the last month :( money that could have bought roadster parts!

Cheers
