Does anyone know what types of metal pipes can be used to join hoses together. I have plenty of galvanised pipe of the correct size. Is it any good ?
Cheers

Hi Peter,
Not sure if you mean short connections or long tubes to join the rubber hoses.
For the long extensions I,ve used "Henry Hoover " tubes, perfect fit, stainless & best of all Cheap :o ( approx £2.50 per 1mtr tube ), plus they look nice too
Got mine off ebay ;)
cheers

I've found my pipes and plumbed it all in, using the original hoses. But after proudly showing the wife my handiwork I noticed that I haven't got a connection to the bottom of the expansion tank. On the Sierra it goes to the radiator but my clio rad has only 2 connections not three.
Any ideas ?
Cheers

If you cant find a beading tool use a plumbers olive on the end of the pipe and solder it on. This stuff http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ALUSOL-ALU-SOL-soldering-wire-for-Aluminium-aluminum-most-metals-50g-0-91mm-/271123704050?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Components_Suppl ies_ET&hash=item3f203b68f2 believe it or not will solder ali to brass if you get it clean and use the right flux. If there is any left over its worth having in the workshop for repairing ali casings.

wot he said
another alternative is thick copper wire wrap around twice and solder on to pipe
