Well, I thought I would introduce myself.
I have been loitering for a while and taking as much in as I can. I think the bug has bitten me, and its likely I will be starting my own roadster soon. I have a couple of other projects in the workshop to do first.
I am ex motor trade and am lucky to have a very large home workshop and most of the tools I think will be required.
My aim is to do this at the lowest possible cost, famous last words ?
Are there any other members with ongoing or completed projects in north lincs/Hull ?

Sorry you didn't mention your name, I'm located near Beverley, 10K north of Hull, my chassis needs the rear tubes, harness fixings, and scuttle making up, then about to start assembling the refurb'd running gear.
This is a good forum, with answers to most questions asked and a bit of banter thrown in, best of luck on your project, Dave.

Thanks Dave,
I'm Jason and from Hull originally. I live just over the bridge in Goxhill.
What doner are you using, and how long since you started the build ?

Thanks Andy,
I may well start off with one of your flatpack kits. Seems a sensible way to go. :)

Hi Jason, not too far away then, I'm originally from Hull and moved out here 28years ago. I started my build in January when I managed to get a ready built ( Talon crafted ) chassis off a lad who lost his workshop space and bought the Sierra running gear off a tuning shop who just wanted the box and engine, everything else from either Talon or Saturn ( both HIGHLY recommended ) ebay, and Vehicle Wiring Products, another fine firm.
I'm thinking of a new injected 1.6/1.8 Zetec whilst they are on offer, but not 100% certain yet cos of IVA. I can only do bits when I'm well as I'm a tad badly.
There used to be 2 other seven builders down my road, but I think one split up & moved. Your welcome to call over sometime, cheers. Dave.

No worries :) just give me a shout if you do decide on the flatpack kit route
Whichever route you take, all the best for your build & hope you enjoy the forum.

Sounds good Neil, thanks for the offer. I will give you a shout in a while when I'm nearer to starting.
I need to get a couple of other jobs done first. MX5 to mot and VIC then ready for sale, and a new lump to do in my old x-type diesel.
