My chassis is still for sale, looking for around £200. I am driving down to Bedfordshire with an empty car trailer on Friday, so if anyone is interested there may be chance for free/cheap delivery. Any takers??
It's going on ebay tomorrow otherwise.
Cheers peeps

Hiya mate, whereabouts in Bedfordshire are you going? I did pm you about the chassis but thought you had sold it already. If I'd be unable to collect in bedfordshire on Friday, could delivery be arranged to Portsmouth area at a different time (and obviously at my cost)?

I'm heading to Arlesey, unfortunately wouldn't have time to drive to portsmouth on Friday. Seeing as I'm having to hire a car trailer for Friday I don't think I'd ever be able to deliver to Portsmouth unfortunately.
I'd be more than happy to meet you on Friday though, and wouldn't charge you for delivery.
I'm aiming to be in Arlesey for 2pm. Don't you know anyone in the area I could leave the chassis?

No worries mate, I didn't expect you to drive all the way down here! :-)
We will however have a van somewhere near, Milton Keynes about 40 mins away, on Friday at some time but I'm not sure exactly when. Would you be so kind as to give me until lunchtime tomorrow (tuesday) to check the timing and if it's ok for the van to make the slight detour (read convince the boss!)? I just don't want to say definite yes now and mess you around later. Would you be able to let me know a rough time your planning on leaving the area?
Also, whilst not that important, which gearbox is the chassis set up for?
Thanks in advance,
Ashley

No probs Ashley
It's for a type 9 box. I have to pick a car up at 2 pm. I can probably be in the area from around 1pm. Will be leaving area around 3 pm. Could detour via MK if that helps. Gimme a ring sometime, I'll pm you my number

Hi mate, just got to work and thought it'd be an idea to make sure it would fit in the van. Can you let me know the dimensions of the chassis please mate, or anyone else out there know?
I got your pm too, I'll give you a shout when I know it'll fit and that the van can get there. If you're happy to go to mk, that would make things easier for me to organise with the driver, but if not, there's no trouble in him coming to you.

Cheers Ash

Captaincrash, unfortunately I have bad news. It has become apparent that the van is no longer headed up to Milton Keynes on Friday due to some problems with the bits that were going to be delivered. I'm going to have to let this one slip by I'm afraid. Im genuinely sorry to have got your hopes up, but thank you for allowing me to have the time to check.
I really hope you are able to sell the chassis,

Best regards

Ashley

Hello Captain....and everyone else, this is a bit scary...1st post `n all that. Meant to do the intro thing but in at the deep end is the best way sometimes!

I would be interested in your chassis. Had a look at your blog thing and you mentioned Handyandy had looked over it. What did he find, is there a lot to do? would it be within the scope of a welding muppet such as myself?

Could poss meet you on your travels on friday

Best regards

Hi Andy, welcome to the forum. Handy mentioned one of the front wishbone mounts was askew, and a couple of the welds at the back end needed tidying up. Make me an offer, need the space and its far too good to chop up.:D

Hi, sorry for the delay,

Captain - which way are you heading south on Friday, are you coming down the A1 ? Would you be able to drop the chassis off on your way? I could meet you at Goole which is along the M62 a bit ....or is that too far off your chosen path?

Also just read your previous post regarding bits for sale. Did you have anything else of interest left in your garage ?

Jaykay - not in Hull, although go there a bit with work. I think there were a few East Yorks Roadster builds at one time - Neil P has finished his and a couple of people out near beverley were starting. There was also a bloke finished a white roadster at your side of the Humber near scunny. Be interested to hear from anyone in the area.

Playing me cards close to me chest on this one Kev. All will be revealed next week. It's not what people will expect, in fact I'm surprising myself in all honesty.

I.m gonna have a couple of guesses ....jet boat:) a reliant robin/regal:eek: or a hovercraft:rolleyes: I'll go with the latter ......should have a betting card on the outcome of this ;)

hmm a jet fighter wont fit on a trailer so cant be that

Bloody hell Kev, have you been stalking me? It's actually a jet boat/hovercraft hybrid using a reliant robin chassis & body shell. Thinking about fitting wings to also achieve jet propelled flight.

be careful top gear proved a few year back that reliant robins dont fly too well
