hello i need some help, i am thinking of starting a haynes roadster
just having a few thoughts,
i want a full roll cage that has a windscreen built inand will be completly water tight when a hood and sidescreens are attached
any one know where i can get this made, or possible suggestions??
the type of full cage i want is like the mk indy (bars above head are centred) for easier access, my car will only be used on road (if that helps when planning the cage)

Are you looking to be able to remove the roof and doors and leave the roll cage and screen on or will the roof be perminantly on the car?
If your planing the former then it will never be water tight, little short of chauking round all the joints it will leak to some degree. If you go for the later then just bond the roof section to the body work.
There was a car based on vauxhall parts with the engine mounted at the rear called the Cyclone made by Carcraft, it had a square nose and a tessarosa style back end. It had a removeable roof section and removeable gt40 type doors.

There was a car based on vauxhall parts with the engine mounted at the rear the name of it escapes me at mo but that had a square nose and a tessarosa style back end with a fixed roof and removeable gt40 type doors. I'll have a look around and see if I can find a pic or to.
That will be the Cyclone and was made in Blackpool and a very pretty car that was, sadly no longer made and the moulds went in the bin!!!!
There is a blue one that hillclimbs and sprints in the South West and damn quick it is too..

You must have been typing while I was faffing with photobucket. I realy liked the Cyclone it was some thing different 12-14yrs ago amongst a sea of fake snakes and 7's.

There were two parked up at Stoneleigh, quite big cars compared to a 7 but so much prettier. Like I said there is one raced in the South West which considering the moulds are no longer is a very brave thing to do...
