Don't know the measurement, but i can tell you there's plenty of room. How big is your radiator?

Hi Andy,
From the top of the front frame you have 140mm to the underside of the nose and 200mm clearance to the front on the nose. The nose does taper towards the front so mount the rad close to the front frame and still keep as much clearance the the top as you can.
Hope that helps...........Andrew

Thanks very much for that...its a clio rad ...have seen somebody do an aluminium cowling for the fan to sit inside so i intend to copy that..and have the top connection for the rad over the front frame for ease of connection ...that 45 deg one at the bottom is a pain in the ass...

ive just modified my rad and fan tonight ive taken the temp sender switch out of the omega rad and it fitted straight on to my polo rad and the fan from the omega looked better (bigger) and i wouldnt have to mess around with connections. retro fitted the omega fan to my rad and now just got to find the right spot for it all but you have loads of room.
the clio fan was a bit deep for my liking are you planning on using that aswell ?

Had a bit of a change in plan...the Granada Twin fan cowling was chopeed in half and grafted on to the polo rad with ally straps...so i have utilised one fan and connection ...it looks pretty good...not fitted yet as i need to purchase some silicone bends....not going to be soon as i have a 500 quid door to purchase for my other car...:(
