Hi all went to change my cv boots today but ran into some trouble
it seems my drive shafts are different can anyone tell me what they are the bloke at ford never had a clue

not sure what the shaft is but a 'universal' boot kit may be of some use

they take a little more getting on than manufacturer ones but do the same job usually just as well!

No point putting a boot on if the shaft is wrong.
Where did it come from, what's the hub look like?

It came off a 1.8 j plate sierra chasseur with rear drums
will put some pics of the hubs later proper got me stumped
the drive cup has a ford stamp inside it???

There are two types of sierra push in shafts as far as I know and that's the later type. They're the same as mine and they came off a "H" plate.

They differ as well based on engine size, I think 1.3 & 1.6 is different to 1.8 & 2.0 .. I have experience of that but it was circa 1997..
