Day one (moving motor show) done. Nice and relaxed, seen some seriously impressive motors, the new three wheeler Morgan is fun and makes just the most magnificent noise! We even had a mooch amongst the Bonham's auction lots, some seriously nice cars for sale but some ropey ones too.

Day two done, some seriously imprssive machinery here. F1 boys are out to make some serious noise and plenty of jags about too. Then there's "mefistofeles", a 1907 Fiat racer that was fitted with a 21.7 litre aero engine in the 20s........and its a hand start monster too! 320bhp at 1800rpm, redline at 2200rpm but capable of 146mph!

Well that's Goodwod FoS done for another year. Brain is now officially melted with everything we've seen. Mefistofeles did finally make it all the way up the hill. I did look for you Ash but you were out galivanting and enjoying yourself. Saw Murray Walker three times and Sir Stirling three times but didn'tget any autographs this year. Kris Meeks is mental and so is Ken Block, the things they can do with cars are just unreal.

Got home a couple of hours ago, just sorted through the 1100 or so photos and sending 45 up to a facebook album, will provide a link later. We have had an absolutely fantastic weekend, weather has been superb and all the cars and stars were magnificent! We even shared a bottle of veuve cliquot on the front lawn. Saw john surtees, 91 and still drives like a hooligan:-) damon hill, jenson button, lewis and nick hamilton, adrian newey, karun chandhok, bruno senna, vitaly petrov, jason plato, steve soper, hannu mikkola and many, many more. Next year is the 20th FoS and the better half is already zaving up for it.

nice pictures davey some good action shots in there. what camera was you using some of them look like they were took from the grandstand? i regretted only going with my 17-85 walkabout lens wish i had took my 70-300 with me now as i didn't realise how tall the hay bales were until i got there. the marshalling was too good to get closer to the side of the track without getting caught.

Hi Ash, I use a Sony Alpha 200 with 75-300 zoom tele, most of the action shots were done with that lens and " sports" mode. The static and close up stuff was done with the 18-55 short zoom on auto. Very pleased with a lot of them but we also got about an hours worth of video.

Mark B, thanks mate, its always nice to hear good comments abouts one's photos. I shot about 1100 but soon whittled them down to around 600, the 45 in the facebook album are, in my humble opinion, the best of them.
