Having a hard time making sense of the zx6r service manual, can anyone advise where the fuel inlet is on the carbs? Is it the plastic rail that goes along the top that splits to go into what looks like carb 2 & 3? Or does it go into the bit at the bottom of the carb in the center?

Its the single small inlet at the bottom, in the centre

I took a photo of my carbs. Hope it makes things a little clearer as you can see the fuel hose going into the bottom centre of the carbs.

Nice one cheers deeze. What are the hoses along the top then and do I need them or should they be removed?

I've left them on to stop any crap going into the top of the carbs. I thought they are originally for engine coolant to circulate to stop the carbs from freezing? Although I'm probably wrong.

No idea but that would make sense. It's hard to tell what they are looking at the manual as the pictures are quite rubbish. the only other thing I could think of that they could be is vacum tubes maybe?

No the vacuum tubes are on the engine to carb rubbers. Each one has a vacuum take off. I've just checked my ZX6R 98-99 manual and I agree with you! I'm struggling to identify things off the manual, but it looks like the top hose is marked up float vent? Either way I've left mine on the carbs, but not connected and it runs fine.

Coolio I'll leave them on as well then, suppose the float chambers would need to vent if the engine was off for a long period and there was still fuel in the chambers. Thanks for the help :)
