I am talking to Hispec about a brake upgrade for my upcoming mx5 haynes build.

Kit for 1.8 standard 256mm/20mm disc.

It would retain the standard disc and use a 4 pot caliper with mounting bracket.

Cost would be in the ball park of £350 inc vat for 2 calipers and brackets inc hardware.

Any interest?

Proposed caliper

A lad in next unit has a pair of those on his cosworth drifter and I must say they are very nicly made in all ali, and for the price you'd bloody well hope so too.

Price wise I thought they were a great! Barely more than 2 new standard calipers.

Or did you mean his Cosworth kit?

Ok

In the economy (silver matt finish) it should come out at around £325 inc postage for less than 5 kits.

5 Kits plus it will come in around the £290 mark

10 kits it will come in around £275 mark

Pads would be extra.

I live 10 minutes away from Hi-Spec, and know a few of the guys there. Good bunch to deal with too. Their sierra upgrade calipers may yet appear on my car in time!
