The easiest way is to put the memory card thing from the camera into your computer but this will only work if you computer has the right slot so to speak.

If you computer doesn't have a matching slot for the memory card (called an SD card/slot), you'll have to connect the camera to the computer with a cable which it should have come with (usb cable).

Once you either have the card in the computer or the camera connected via the cable, normally you'll get a window popping up on the computer with a folder showing all the pictures (you might get a list of things to do instead depending on your computer, if this happens just click the explore option).

Next just select the pictures you want to transfer off the camera and drag them out of the window onto your desktop somewhere.

Then you either have to put them somewhere like photo bucket or if they're small enough you can attach them directly to a post (unlikely as they're usually too big).

Photobucket isn't too bad to use. first click the signup link on the top right (if you dont' already have an account) and follow the instructions to create an account. Once you have an account and are signed in (theres a signin link on the top right as well), there's an upload now link at the top middle. click that and it'll take you to a page which will let you transfer the files from you computer to photobucket. Just make sure the upload from part says my computer then click the select photos and video's button. It should open a window and let you choose the pictures. There should be something like desktop somewhere on left of that window, if you click that you should see the pictures you dragged onto your desktop in the step above. Just select them and click ok and it will then upload them (this can take awhile...).

Once it's done uploading just click the save and continue button and it should take you to a screen showing all the pictures. If you then click on a picture, it'll take you as sreen showing the picture enlarged and over on the righthand side there's a bit saying direct link. If you then click on the http:// bit, it should flash saying copied. Next flip over to a window you already have open with the haynes forum and a post where you want to put a picture, then click the button that looks like a yellow square with a couple of mountains in it (should say insert image if you hoover the mouse pointer over it). It'll then open a window asking for the URL, just delete whats in there and then hold down the ctrl key (bottom left of the keyboard) and then press V and it should put the link in for you. Hit ok and you're done :)

firstly avoid using the kodak things its bolloks IMO.

when you connect it through the cable windows autosee's it? normally pops a little window up in the bottom right corner.

If you go to 'my computer' the camera should be there like any other external storage device. open and browse to your photos. Select them all copy to a folder somewhere on your PC.

Attaching photos i just use the attach files on the reply screen, im not sure on using host sites to be honest.

haha. Not sure on a good uncomplicated camera. I tend to just use my phone personally.

I think it's the Kodak easyshare thing being called into question not the camera :)

Yeah, simply avoid the over complicated software that want's to put everything in albums...

There's probably no such thing as a basic camera, it's too cheep and simple to load them with functions. Like Geo_taging, Face recognition, Web intergration, remote print!!
