Can anyone tell me what model or year transit van im surposed to get the top ball joints from for the haynes roadster any info would b apreciated.also what type of material are the suspension bushes made from? i have bought polyurathane but have been told it to soft and difficult to machine.

Polyurethane can be machined but you need to know how to shape the tool to cut it but then it's not a great finish,propbably easier in the long run just to buy the poly bushes.

odd i cross ref ed the part numbers in book and the only model i found as a match is a mk1 transit 65-78 (right hand thread end of drag link)
i think the only co. that makes them now is qh

It seems that not all drag links have the same length of thread, some not allowing enough thread inside the top arm when fitted with a lock nut ( there have been comments of approx 20mm inside the arm).
