Can't say I have ever seen one.

there was a AM V8 replica, and the Bullit ( capri body conversion ) .. And the modern crop of DB7esq body conversions...

But can't say I have ever seen a DB5

There's a company on ebay doing a jaguar xk to vanuish conversion. I have also seen a celica convertible with an aston alike kit on it, it wasn't too clever though.

My opinion will probably not go down well, but here goes....

A replica is more often than not just a re-bodied car. It therefore drives nothing like the original, has no common attributes and most have only a passing resemblance to the original.
So why bother?
If you are only going to get something that 'looks a bit like it' then surely the most sensible thing to do would be buy a very high quality large format poster of the real car. You then get to look at a proper one without all the negatives.

There are so many crap replicas that are hideous, surely the people buying and driving them don't seriously think they look good or even fool anyone into thinking they are real?

Maybe a couple of exceptions. Things like the Stratos replicas, these are very good visual copies, and are pretty much bespoke cars underneath. And the RS200 replicas that again have moulds taken from original cars and spaceframes underneath. But the RS200 'ahem' replica using was it the Maestro, surely there is no point in that as it just 'looks' like the original.

My 2p worth anyway.
