fuel pump

I have 1.8 cvh with mechanical fuel pump. My question is how thick is the gasket between the pump and engine block? Looking at the manual it looks like it may be one of the block type ones. Can anyone confirm this for me? If so I'll have to get one as I don't have one lying around.

PS got the engine started for a few seconds by pouring some fuel into the carb, started with no problems. :)

From memory it is a chunky rubber type gasket. I can check when I get home if no other replies appear for you

As above and probably 15/20mm thick,if memory serves its more to insulate the fuel pump from heat of the cyl head.
