Any of you wonderfull people any dealings with the above.
We have one with a fault in the efi system and even the dealers cant get into the obd socket on it as its not 16 pin and obd2 compliant.

Any ideas ?.

Cheers.

A thought to those of you using MX5 donors, dont throw away the grey diagnostic conector under the bonnet as you cant diagnose any faults if using the injection system.

Hi Paul

I know it is a Million to One shot, does the test socket look anything like a male version of the one pictured ?

This type of diagnostic socket was fitted to my 98 Mazda 626

The plug pictured is an adapter that converts the Mazda test socket into the standard 16 pin OBD2 socket.

If by some miracle it is the same, I would be happy to pop it in the post for you to use :)

That million to one shot is spot on,I rang the local dealers today and no suprise "we cant read those" and we have a Ranger in we cant fix, Local Arnold Clark dealership.
I then rang the Mazda dealer in Hexam and they said they can read them possibly so I will take to them and see what going on with it.

If not Ronnie you may well save the day as normal and I will take you up on your kind offer.

Many thanks.

Paul.

If you short pin 10 to earth it will give you blink codes on the eml.

If you need it give me a shout, would be more than happy to post it up to you.

Last post goes at 4.45pm weekdays ;)

I hate all of those fangled modern electronics, that said cars perform all the better for them.

Still stuck in the dark ages me :D :D
