All the best peeps,
I have purchased a little caravan that had a stabiliser under one of the seats. The prob I have is that there was no bracket for my tow hitch!
Would anyone have a spare bracket hanging around that could be put to good use in a good home??? ;)
many thanks,
Twin

PS. I still think we need a "Wanted" section!

To be honest with you Twin you probably don't need one (unless you're going to tow it with a very small car of course). If its a small caravan it probably has a maximum allowable mass (MAM) of around 1000KGs, most medium sized cars weigh in around the 1200KG+. As long as the caravan is loaded sensibly to give around 7-10% of its MAM in noseweight you should have no problems with instability. Smaller caravans/trailers are intrinsically more stable than large/long ones, the Caravan Club recommendation of 85% towing vehicle weight for the trailer generally works quite well (trailer should be no more than 85% of the towing vehicle's actual weight).

Thats why I keep 10 miles stopping distance between me and the car in front when Ive got 2 cubic metres of concrete on my trailer:eek:
