Well i came downstairs early yesterday morning to find that i had uninvited visitors during the night and my shed doors were hanging off. Called the old bill at 06:20 and they turned up eventually at 08:30. Does anyone have a jack russell that they would part ex for a golden retriever as he was no bloody use.

Plod is never to quick on stuff like this, probably had to get his quota of motoring nicks done before he was allowed to attend a crime. i went past a neighbours gates a while ago and they were hanging of the hinges with the house alarm going beserk. I pulled into the drive and called local plod who is less than 3 miles away and then sat there for an hour and a half while they made a rapid response. <twats>

1.5 hours would be classed as rapid response around here

Sadly most of the time plod are woefully slow at turning out. Several years ago I had an altercation with three youths outside my house that ended up with me "defending" myself against all three. Neighbour called plod on 999 and told them I was being set upon by said youths, coppers turned up 45 minutes later when the youths had long since gone. Never mind it gave me time to whup their butts without police intervention. When I asked if 45 minutes was a reasonable response time for such an incident the Sergeant said "its a good job you're a big chap who can look after himself" .
I hope they didn't take too much stuff or do too much damage in the process.

Something else when you think about it. You could ride a push bike down to the local ploddery get him out of bed, let him have a shave and some breakfast and give him a crossy back quicker than he can get there with a fast car an a load of ner ner noises.

2hrs 10 mins, thats super quick responce for a burglary. here in Dagenham we live a 5 min. walk from the nick. Its a big nick with loads of uniformed cossers, its own large CID unit, lots of cars and vans, and loads of plastic coppers and council wardens. Well the old lady (shes in her90s) next door rang them at 10 pm on a Friday about a burglary in progress, they made a rapid response and arrived about 3.30pm on the folowing Monday. Funny really their cars are constantly screaming past our houses in both directions day and night with lights and sirens going but couldnt find time to stop to see her.

Its well worth investing in security CCTV and its so cheap now. Just last week Bought two kits from Marlin, two cameras and a four channel 500GB DVR recorder for £150 each.

Heres a tip,
When you call the police, tell them that one of them looks like he has a gun( it was dark and was probably a crowbar, but they dont know that;) ), they will send the cavalry round in minutes

I went out and spent £120 on an alarm system from wickes which was supposed to be easy to set up, some joke, and i am now looking at cameras. The ironic thing is we are just setting up a neighbourhood watch in our estate and guess who the co-ordinator is, yep yours truely and the hobby bobby turned up yesterday euvening with all the. Packs, talk about bolted horse and stable door

Your first idea is the best, the good old tried and tested land shark. Our yard is the only yard for miles around that has not been raided and thats down to our four legged land shark, good old ex police german sheperd. He has torn the arse out of many an unsuspecting night visitor. I know we have to clean up all the barkers eggs but thats a small price to pay.

A mate of mine works at the local crematorium and he has said it would be no problem getting rid of any evidence, so to meet up with them would be ideal

Ring the plods and say a policeman is being set upon by 3 youths, tell then not to worry because he is a big lad and can defend himself and then see how long they take to turn up.
***Please note I don't condone wasting the time of the countries finest ***:)
