After four years, finally started the engine yesterday! It's a 2l silvertop zetec with 40mm Jenveys and an omex ecu, kit spares exhaust manifold and Yamaha R1 exhaust can. It's running on a base map provided by omex, so needs a rolling road session, but not bad!
I know if there's no video it didn't happen, so have look below!
Really got the enthusiasm to finish this thing now!

Thanks for the comments guys.
Ayjay, caught my nuts on the light stalk on the steering column as I bent over the dash!
Baz, went for a Lucas alternator, because someone gave me a brand new one and it seemed rude not to use it! Made my own mount and adjuster, both seem to be working fine!

is that the one like fitted to mg's and stuff? i had a part no. somewhere?:(
i wasnt sure about the mulit rib belt pully fitment

Yes it is. Tiger sell a pulley to fit the alternator, not expensive. Although probably cheaper to get a modern alternator from the scrappy that already has the right pulley, unless you have a Lucas one already.

not touched it since christmas.
it does start on the key now, with a bit of encouragement but still loads to do and £'s to spend.
Might have another push in the next couple of months.
