I had a quick visit to my local BOC Tradequip centre yesterday ( Paid my bottle rental bill :( )

Noticed they had a new product to cater for the hobby welders.

A small cylinder of argoshield light.

£18 per year rental & £16 per fill, holds 494 litres of gas, this equates to almost 8 Halfords disposables @ £14 a pop.

Got to be a better proposal than using throw away bottles or messing about with CO2 & you know you'll be getting good quality industrial gas.

All prices +VAT

Full details to be found here

Just thought I would post it up as it may be of some help to some members :)

Good find Ronnie! How's the 'new' version of the car coming on?

Cheers

I was a little surprised to see that BOC has made a token attempt towards catering for the DIY sector, certainly been a long time coming.

Only Argoshield Light is available at the moment but speaking to the branch manager, Pureshield is definately on the cards at some point.

Guess I should have pointed out that a suitable cylinder regulator will be needed :o
Not the end of the world though, basic regulators are available at very reasonable cost.

Very much looking forward to getting stuck into my new project.

Chassis stripped down to it's component parts, this will make replacing the alloy floor a lot easier for me :)

Healthwise, it's been a rough few months but at last I am now able to be out in the workshop once more.

Looking to be on the road late summer if all goes well  :)
