Well today is a great day i have finally fitted the nosecone! I'm not sure how the rest of you guys did it but i just tapped the 2mm wall of box section i don't think this will be strong enough over the long run so all ideas welcome thinking rivnuts are the best option? At any rate the lower brackets are all made up and its sitting well.

Can now get the radiator fixings made and have it bolted in. On this note.... Do you guys think its fine to mount the radiator using the 4 bolt holes in the front of the rad and nothing else and just have it floating. Those bottom pegs are going to be a pain in the ass and would rather not use as I'm leaning the rad forward.

Oh also measured the wheel base today and its 100" from center of wheel to center of wheel. Not sure what standard book is but i think it looks ok!

Anyhow here is a pic.

Is that a stripe or did you widen it?
I too need some advice on fixing the nosecone.
I even toyed with the idea of fixing a couple of hinges to the bottom for ease of access.

Fix a piece of angle to the top chassis rail and slot the nose cone to slide over the slot but still keeping the slot in one piece, elongated hole,drill/tap or rivnut to hold from outside with suitable domed screw.
