I arrived home yesterday afternoon ( mothers house ), parked my car in usual place ( for those that have been to the house you,ll know where that is ),
As i get out of the car I hear lots of screaming & shouting coming from up the street, appeared to be a young couple having a domestic, anyways....none of my business so I go about getting the shopping out of the boot to take into the house,
as I was returning to the car from the house for the 2nd load of shopping I heard even more shouting in the street, as I got to the garden gate I saw one of our neighbours ( a lady ) shouting at the lad of the young couple that was having the domestic ( by the way, the arguing couple do not live around here ),
as I go thru the garden gate I see the young lad doing kung fu kicks to my next door neighours cars ( a real gent of a neighbour about 75 yrs old ).

I shouted at the young lad to stop , you can imagine the verbal response he gave me, he did stop & started walking away, the lady neighbour shouted that she was on the phone to the police, I told the lad to wait for the police to arrive .....more verbal abuse from him to me,

long story short..........He realised that I intended to follow him ( at a safe distance ) until the police arrived & he didn,t like this idea, he turned around & took a lunge at me & saying something that made me glad I kept a safe distance from him, ....anyways, it ended up with me & the husband( who had arrived out of nowhere) of the lady neighbour restraining the lad until the police arrived .

The damage to the neighbours car is pretty bad, all the panels on the passenger side have been kicked in:mad: ..........& all because the lad was having an argument with his girlfriend.

That was an eventful Easter Monday for me

cheers

more importantly - did you manage to get your frozen stuff in the freezer before the fracas ensued?

After all that excitement, nothing worse than soggy hash browns :o

Poshguy.......I,m not a bloke that goes looking for trouble but I hated the fact that my neighbours car was damaged ( he was in his house & didn,t know it was happening ), so I just tried to ensure that the lad responsible was dealt with by the police, but yes, thankfully keeping a safe distance was the right thing to do, thanks :)

Mrs Vmax...... soggy hash browns :D , thankfully the 2nd load of shopping from my car was just a 17kg bag of dog food , tho it was raining at the time & I ended up soaking wet :o

cheers

Sometimes its easier to walk away as these days some are carrying a knife.
I took someone down who tried to stab a friend with the tang end of a file,it missed his jugular by a few mill and then they threatened me with an assault charge, four hours and a statement later I am free.

Good result Andy ;)

Well done for getting involved Andy. Its always right challenging this kind of behaviour whether it's by getting directly involved or capturing it on a camera phone if the guy is tooled up. Encourage your neighbour to take out a county court action against the bloke for any uninsured loss so he doesn't lose his excess and can get a hire car whilst his is being repaired.
