So I thought I would share what happens the other side of the garage door.
Tuesday 10th April 2012
VMax has gone to work, the list of things I have to do before I go to work include, check ebay ensure we are still winning steering whatsit for £4.99, when dusting DO NOT disturb machine mart catalogue from toolbox porn page - it will take precious seconds finding the page again, remember that Kit Car Weekly IS toilet reading, balance build funds, pick steel filings out of rug in dining room before it ruins the dyson, separate greasey overals from my smalls - saving yet another trip to marks for new smalls and sort out new rags saving random items from ironing pile disappearing into garage never to be recognised again.
phew :D willingly done x

OY OY OY no hyjacking of my girlie thread thank you very much.
anyway - still winning ebay
VMax is FAR too manly to wear my delicate smalls - but his lovely red overals are sadly no more - they have gone to car mechanic heaven and I am off to machine mart to purchase a more suitable covering - picture will follow as I will be stenciling flowers and butterflies all over them. I am seriously thinking about making some kind of magnet door frame to catch all the bolts and nuts as he comes in - so much easier than stripping down the washing machine, when i could be making cakes:D

Well, its off to some stuff for me today, dragging a VMax kicking and screaming behind me.
First its off to the registry office - yes V is making an "honest" woman out of me later this year, then its off to view my new dream cottage. Although to be honest I'm sure the area he will be most interested in will be the size of the build room aka the garage  Then back home for some female chitter chatter (deluded but hopeful) followed by SB1 and SB2 umming and arrhing for several hours, interspersed with several yelps and comforting cups of coffee and plasters. I think we have handyandy for company this afternoon - so may whip up a ginger cake ;)

Sunday 15th April 2012.
Today has been a weird one - VMax has been away this weekend with work (*cough*) so apart from the usual things, chatting to family and friends watching the grandprix and touring cars - without the usual sofacommentating from you know who, its been spent mostly looking at my watch wishing time away or looking at my phone for a text to say he is nearly home. I guess much like VMax does when he stands in the workshop (aka garage) looking at the chassis, as if magically the welding will do itself or that the 5mm slant wont matter with a bit of smolder on.
I guess we both are waiting around for that piece of perfection to arrive ;)
If you can drag yourself away from the house for a couple of hours, I thoroughly recommend Battleship at the cinema. Go see:D

Monday 16th April
Today has been emotional. First we paid for the wedding, ouch, but more importantly arranged for the notices to be placed. For all you non-wedding types, this entails having a lengthly discussion with the superintendant registrar about all your history etc, i blubbed when I realised it was my dads birthday today and I am unable to have him give me away in June. VMax on the otherhand blubbed when he saw the debit card bill - mental note to use the credit card next time. Anyway,we went and saw the orange build of Handyandy - simply gorgeous - lovely sound even on full choke, that cheered us up a treat.
We then went and booked our wedding tea party - think mad hatters tea party with jelly and ice cream and you get the feel of it, outside overlooking a lake.
We then chose the roadster's seats, roll bar and pondered the 4mm misalignment of the front frame with the help of Mister Kronenberg and Miss Zinfendel, unfortunately its out to far, so going to pick up a new front frame tomo from Nathan at NTS. Time escaped us and so did daylight.
All in all a good day for the car builders widow - although not to much a widow more a co-conspirator I feel today - but don't tell him ;)

Tuesday 17th April 2012
Poor ole VMax has been pondering in the garage for several hours today - Its been like having a conversation with someone playing battleships - lots of U7 and SB2 - he did, however, let me weld something - yes something attached to the build not some piece of random steel. I confess tho would not be able to tell if he cut it and re-welded it in my absence
He has a few days of extra female company this week as my BF comes up from Kent for a few days - so I expect he will spend every free moment in the garage with his steel - while i gas about all thinks pink and fluffy. Expect some photo's of his progress - uninterupted progress :D :D

She will tell me off for hijacking her thread but I know I got a keeper here
Had to laugh at her tack welding after she went back indoors at her fear in her eyes at the welder. When it arced up she jumped and dropped it running at the door welding mask still attached to her face tried to be sympathetic but inside I was dying with laughter
Sorry wife its just the truth was very sweet to watch honest
