Ebay Tank Sender

I have a tank that some of us brought from Ebay ages ago, Does anyone know how to wire up the sender it has 3 wires?

as a guess, it will be a positive and a negative and a control so a positive feed then in the middle should be the control "which you send to your gauge" then the ground :)

I hope that made sence, if not i can "try" and draw a picture haha :p
