When I got up this morning I had a bad feeling about today, no reason for it just a sense of something "wrong in the air" . Well it all went pretty well actually, Europa phoned to say the stuff I'd ordered was out of stock till later in the week and if I could wait a few more days for it they'd refund some of the carriage costs. Days work went fairly well, got a motorhome fully serviced in double quick time including resealing a leaky rooflight, fitted a Parrot kit into our camper, tidied up the workshop a bit, replaced a rear view camera under warranty in a nice quick time, everything looking peachy. Then we called in a 12 year old camper for sale by a local trader to have a window blind replaced (he supplied the new blind). All went well till I stepped back into the motorhome to refit the blind assembly, I took two steps then heard a horrible crash, turned around and the window the blind was for had fallen out and smashed on the floor of the workshop!
First time I've had one of this particular type of window out, all the rest are sealed with sticky sh!t, this type relies on a neoprene gasket and the inner blind assembly screws into the outer window frame to clamp it all to the body, a fact that I was ignorant of!
So rebuilding a window blind to save a local trader about £100 is probably going to cost me £250 for a new window and frame!
Ahh well, sh!t happens I suppose, old speckled hen doesn't cure anything but it does numb the senses!
