As some of you may have seen we appear to be getting quite a few spam posts/threads,
The mods try our best to curb these as soon as possible , the latest ones have been deleted within 6 hrs of them being posted, the idiots that make these pointless posts usually do it during the night knowing that there is a high likelyhood that the mods won,t be online at the time  .
Each time a Spam thread/post is deleted the mods issue a "yellow card" to the username that created the post/thread which stops them posting for 10 days & it also automatically flags a message off to Haynes admin team to alert them of the problem, & also the mod doing the deleting can follow up with an email direct to Haynes admin to alert them of the problem & the admin team will decide if to remove the username from the forum membership.
Only the Haynes admin team can actually remove the usernames profile.
You may find that if a genuine member has replied to a spam thread then automatically their own post would also be deleted during the process of the mod deleting the thread, so we hope you all understand the reasons why etc.
If a genuine member "Reports" a spam post/thread then each of the Mods will receive an email of the problem & thus ensure that we deal with the situation quickly , so we do appreciate this help as even tho we,re usually on line a great deal ...sometimes we are not.
I,m posting this info just so you know that
A) we try our best to deal with spam quickly
B) to explain why some genuine members posts get deleted when attached to spam threads
C) To thankyou for helping the mods by reporting any Spam & to explain what the process of who can do what between the Mods & the Haynes Admin Team.
Many thanks
Andy
