I have found that the old type plastic cheap chairs that are used in canteens etc have oval steel legs which is ideal for the headlight brackets.

I used some oval tube off an old shopping trolley that i retrieved from a ditch.

I just used leftovers from top wishbones, don't see what's the big deal with the oval profile.

i managed to blag myself some tubing today from school. i might try and crush it to oval in the vice but if it looks rubbish then i'll just keep it round.

Heh, some kit cars use a piece of 3 or 5 mm plate for headlight mounts. So any tube should be better than that...

yep ...mine are crushers...just make sure wall thickness is around 2mm otherwise
it does not crush uniformly.

I have a load spare from making mine. It was from a clothes hanging rail that was being thrown into scrap pile at work. Let me know if you still want some?
