Different cpc to the one you have Andy (and me aswell)its a driver CPC to do with our good friends EU again and their crappy regulations.

Did mine years ago when I worked for a fleet managment company, nice easy week off work and two days revision for the exam.

Got to finish my cpc to keep the licence up ADR is handy way of doing it.

Have not even started my driver cpc yet the rest of europe not swallowing it so am hoping its going to be thrown out that way I save 400 quid flip side of that is they keep it and it ends up costing thousands think I will just get a job in a shop then lol

Its not as bad as some have painted it and if you do not get it you cannot be employed as an HGV driver or so I am led to believe, friends of mine have done theirs and the tacho card colour is changed apperently.

first one I spoke to about it wanted to do SAFED,this, that and the other,in the end I did an ADR course for a week and that counts for 21 hours so only 14 to do and that could be done in the next two years so no panic.

Most of the tachos are now digital, you have to buy it from dvla. Its just like a credit card.

I got one when they first came out and as posted above the colour is changed when you complete the DCPC as a few pals that work for Asda and the coop have said when they applied for theirs.

Anyone doing an HGV course gets it as part of the course now.
