hi everyone does anyone know the pressure of the standard pinto mechanical pump please need 3 psi for bike carbs and was wondering about saving the expenses of a bike fuel pump i have a facet silver top but they run at about 4- 5 psi

According to my RTA (French equivalent of your English Haynes manuals), mechanical fuel pump pressure is 0.24 to 0.38 bars which is about 3.48 to 5.51 psi. When it come to fuel pump, better having too much pressure and a fuel pressure regulator, than not enough. The Pinto mechanical pump should do the job for your bike carbs, but I would add a fuel pressure regulator (low pressure) if there is none in your installation.
Only my small opinion according to what I know about that :)

I have always liked these filter kings. It irons out the pulses on the pump, regulates pressure,has a sediment bowl and a filter all in one decent unit.

Always worth having a look on ebay for a pump to macth your carbs from the same bike. They usually are self regulated and I managed to pick on up for £10 delivered.

Yeah been looking for a bike pump for ages they all seem to be about £40-£50 for a second hand one also it means I have to run wires to the rear of the car was thinking go mechanical pump fuel regulator it down to about 3 psi the filter king seems great but how do you know what pressure it is running

Just bought a filter king and pressure gauge off the bay for 18.50 nice so I am going to use the mechanical pump and the filter king no wiring plus it's all in the engine bay hopefully that should do the trick
