There are mistakes in the book that have been picked up on by drawing the chassis in cad and a less hi tech method 3 years ago by reading it and comparing it to the drawings that don't match. Any body had problems with the front frame and making the top front suspension brackets point straight down the chassis, yes so did we untill we cured the problem. As David Frost said 'remember the clues are there, as we go through the key hole'. ;)

Not in the amendment guides but... The book build of pinto fitted with the standard engine mounts doesn't fit with the steering column as described in the book. There's a thread by 'series Landy' ( i think) that covers it. I'd guess that so few builders have actually used a pinto that only a few of us have had the problem though...

Whatever it is both me, BrianBUg007 and SeriesLandy were obviously all doing it wrong... Perhaps they used different engine mounts on the Pinto over time? http://www.haynes.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=6865
