Some time ago i was off rebuilding my CV joints and came after the problem of positioning them correctly. Remember that "star" end goes towards the wheel end.

At least the Sierra push-in driveshaft CV joints are a tri-fork design, without the balls, and without the mechanical puzzle quality when taking apart and putting back together. But there's one thing to note: the shop manual tells you to cut through the steel cup that the joint is encased in, but the chances of finding a replacement cup are close to zero. So, carefully price it open with a screwdriver and close it with a hammer when assembling.
