I've also got the DOHC and have just gone through all of this and although it did take me a fair while it is wasn't massively difficult. I think I'm left with 3 relays and a couple of fuses, have you got the anti theft module as theres that to get around as well. Overall its taken me a couple of weekends to get it all done.

did you draw up a wiring diagram or just work it as you went along?

If your not using the body loom then there should be no need to worry about..


I guess I should really do a mini diagram of the plugs.

Perhaps over the weekend I will sort that out.

I just worked my way through it using the Haynes wiring diagrams, as soon as you start removing parts of it it wont look like such a massive job. Have been following your thread on how to modify the inlet manifold and has worked really well.. thanks!

TT I have got rid of the anti theft module after hearing how to bypass it.

From what I understand you only really need to run a cat if your donor was made after august 1995? I used my donor loom which also had an ECU and it didn't take me long to strip down all the junk I didn't need and then shorten the ones that where too long. The longest part of of the job was picking all the tape off!
