Did the same thing with cut down bolt and spot of mig and nip in press.

I passed my IVA with a clamped handbrake cable, only after much discussions with the IVA man. I promised to replace it as soon as possible. I feel terrible. Its been well over a year and I haven't changed the cable. I bought a new one, ready to modify, just wasn't sure how to go about it. Good to see this thread. I'll add it to the winter modifications, which are stacking up.
