Always an interesting debate this one and down to personal taste in the end.
I had 130 bhp and nearly the same torque to start with wrecked that engine and sloted in a standard Pinto, it was still quick but felt pedestrian, now in the final build of a wild Pinto.

Talked to a guy with a Tiger on Friday that works for a company that builds special vehicles and trains drivers for high speed persuit and avoidance and he wants a car that is "scarry quick"

I think i sit between scarry quick and 90 bhp, i want something that will still drive on the roads, although i don't mind lumpy tickover and a few spits and bangs, but will scream like a banshee and rev to silly revs when i want to.

My aim is a car that looks good and sounds good. I also want it to be fun to drive but good for a Sunday run out into Wales. Performance wise I'd like a 0-60 in the sub 4 second region, I'd like it to be a consummate cruiser that can puddle along at 2K or less without being unruly but will fly like sloppy dog dirt off a shiny shovel if you floor it, in any gear, from 2K upwards. Hence my engine choice.
