I got the pinto for nothing, so spending something on it is not a problem and at the end of the day, i will know that it should not have any faults, a zetec may have more power, but power is not every thing ;) . As for reliability, my neighbour would disagree, and i'm not to worried about economy after some of the sports bikes i have riden.

I love pintos/cossies nice simple engine to build and good torque too

Well got most of my engine rebuilt now just waiting on some bike carb's to turn up from my nephew and then to sort out the sump and alternater bracket.
