You might want to get your self a fan to blow the smoke out of the container when you start welding and grinding.

**Update Time**

Just a small update from the last few days.

Got some wood, built the table, got the chasis kit. All so far so good...

Got some scrap 2mm plate to practice my welding, after 2 days of trying, the welder won't penetrate.. I assumed it was because i was running it off a generator, so took it home to have a try on the mains - still the same. So just to double check, tried my Dad's gassless 100A cheapo mig, and it worked straight away.

Turns out with a bit of help from the mig welding forum, my new welder's got a blown diode, so it's only running half power :(

So my build is now at a stand still until i can get the front frame welded.

As it stands...

Just a little update

Still waiting to get the welder back from being repaired, so i've started cutting the wishbones and making jigs.

Also, my 2.0 zetec arrived yesterday :D Do most people fit an escort sump?? (as the mondeo one doesn't line up with gearbox bolt holes, also is too big for the starter motor)

I've made a build blog that will be updated regularly.

It's located here... http://davesroadster.blogspot.com/
