Only problem i've got there, is that i have 2 fuel pipes (injection). So i have my brake pipe at the bottom drivers side rail, then my fuel pipes along the 2 top rails, which leaves the bottom passenger rail for electrics, just hope that's acceptable.

Also, think my clip spacing is around 150mm

the 2 fuel lines along the top & your electrics along the bottom will be fine for Mr IVA man, as it shows that you have tried to ensure a good spacing between these 2 functions

I would suggest adding some more "P" clips ;) , I know it appears to be "overkill" but I,m pretty sure the max between mounting points within the tranny tunnel is 100mm, & 250mm apart in other area,s of the car, taken from the paragraph in top right of page 113 of the book, tho I,ll be honest & say I,m not sure if the rules have changed from SVA to IVA, but i,ve used the book dims as my guide .

cheers

I'll have to check that, although it seems a grey area. In the iva manual, if i remember right it just says brake pipes must be securely clipped at regular intervals. (which my pipes are). Although if there's a specific spec, then i'll need to add more.

I thought the book spacing was just as a guide. :(

I totally agree with you Dave, I wasn,t sure of how to interpret the IVA rules, so went along with the book suggestions.

Like you say, "securely attached " is the main point.....I think "P" clips are more secure than lets say a "cable tie", so, "with you" on "your take" of the rules  ;)

I think i'll do a bit of research before fitting the panels, but i think they should be ok. (i hope) :o

The leak may be caused by a gas hole or porosity in the weld caused by contamination like oil or other muck.
I had this problem once and drilled it out and re-welded it.

I think i've sorted it with some chemical metal this evening. Fingers crossed. Doesn't look the best, but if it doesn't leak, i don't really mind. :D

David............

I,ve been doing some research & found a couple of posts by Ash G who went thru his IVA with his P clips in the tranny tunnel spaced at 150mm & was all fine for his test.....& his test was a "Thorough" test

So, my apologies if I gave you duff info :o , looks like your P clip spacing should be ok;)

cheers
