I did say already, one wire goes to earth, and the other to the earth side of the brake warning lamm ( Other wire to the warning lamp goes to 12V ignition switched ), so that's why I say the earth side of the lamp.

Ah right, connect that to one wire on the gearbox, and connect the other gearbox wire to 12v ignition live.

You can mount the megajolt in the engine bay but on a 7 the engine bay gets much hotter than a conventional car, the EDIS is known for not liking the heat, and as EDIS and jolt need to be connected with signal shielded cable I found mounting both under the dash/scuttle worked better.
Attaching a laptop for data logging is also easier with the jolt in the car
