What sort of chargecooler are you using Ash?
I've been trying to work out what intercooler to use on my build, cos i can't seem to find any cheapish chargecoolers apart from the ebay ones but you still need to get a pump, rad and tank for them

its a pace charge cooler off an rs cosworth.

its the one at the bottom of this page. it should be good for some serious boost considering it cost more than the engine.

I think that's a little to price for me until the car is on the road :) but on the other hand they are good bits of kit, I'll have to keep my eyes open for a second hand one, (Missed one on ebay the other week that went for £82)

AshG 24th March 2011 08:04 PM

mine was second hand £200 on ebay which was a bargain as it come with the pump front rad and all the pipes. i had to chop it up a little bit then weld it back up to make the water connections come out at the correct angle but that wasn't a big deal. the engine cost me less :D

This ebay link might be good for a bespoke charge cooler.

Looks great Ash

What kind of power and torque are you expecting?

Reason i ask is my st motor made 171lbs/ft on the rollers which I'm happy with as its up 25 from when it lived in the focus

You can get the back end sliding pretty much like an on/off switch whenever you like! Still very tractable you just cant continually floor it through the bends like i could with the cvh

1st gear takes some skill with the throttle for it not to be just a case of not moving very much and destroying the rear tyres, so yours is going to be a tyre shredder!

God help eternal! :D
