I bought a Jaz tank for my car. My chassis is not true Haynes Roadster, but close. They are available in the UK. It is probably a little more than you want to spend, but I believe it is a much safer tank, especially knowing where the tank sits!

Circle Track Tank Capacity: 10 Gallon
Circle Track Dimensions (LxWxD): 24" wide x 9" front to back x 12" tall

• SEAMLESS CROSS-LINKED POLYETHYLENE OUTER SHELL,
• MIL SPEC B-83054 AVIATION FOAM FILLED,

• PICKUP HOSE ROUTED TO RIGHT REAR CORNER,
• 360° MOUNTING STRAP RECESSES.

Note: I think the 10 gallon capacity is US gallons, your gallons may vary!

That looks like just what I was after and I think that would fit a book dimensional chassis. :) Price isn't so bad either!

Please measure carefully to be sure, like I said, my chassis isn't book. This tank's width and length is book sized, but it is quite tall.

I have been looking into tanks and there are loads of different things to consider.

I have decided to go down the route of getting a custom one made.

I was introduced to a banger forum, where there seems to be loads of fabricators and they make some crazy water tanks (read that as very complicated) for their cars and due to the nature of what they do, they tend to do things at a reasonable price!

Will let you know how I get on :)
