Oh oops lol sorry thanks. just one more question can you mount it straight down like in that pic ir can it be in a angle or does it not really matter

The two outer plates are vertical, the inner bearing moves to the angle that you need, then the two plates clamp it and stop it moving.

The bearing needs to be fixed about 15mm from the chassis so that the column is as close to the bottom of the top rail as possible.

Thanks for the help I think that's what ill do and what do you think of me making my own plastic piece out of acetel to fit the bearing and with a round hole that grabs the column bit firm instead of the triangle hole like making it look like the bush kit one

Totally agree with above modification, most kit cars using the Sierra column now fit this.
The original Ford bush and bearing, only being held inplace by the rubber washer, can move enough to fail IVA.
The metal bearing also allows column figment through a vertical panel.

Yeah that would be fine, save buying in the uk and getting it sent over. I still think you would need a triangle shape to hold the triangular part of the steering column. That should be easy enough to make in the plastic, just drill 3 holes 60 deg apart from each other then chain drill to join the corners up. Little bit of filing and it would be done.

Thanks for the help also one of the reasons why I'm asking if its ok to make my own part is if I get one from the uk something can happen what if I lose it or something then I won't be able to get a new one so that's why I'm thinking of making my own one
