Would have taken me a lot of fudgeing.. Instead building my entire downpipe to the silencer took less than 2hrs.

My engine is quite well back.

I may just have a go with the original but it will be quite a tight curve
The RS one would be a lot easier but maybe not 40 squid easier:eek:

Anyone any thoughts re the mushroom filter

I would just hold out for an rs one as long as you can. There's bound to be other ones that come up on ebay for less. Might also be worth calling round a few breakers near you to see if they've got one.

My first engine was cvh and i used the original manifold and a chopped downpipe, took me about 1/2hour to get it exiting the side where i wanted

Thanks for all the advice.

I dug out the old manifold today and tried it in place. Theres very little room for the down pipe as its so far back near the ttunnel.
Ill hang in for the RS it will make things a lot more straightforward when making the down pipe.:o
